For the last two years I have been living in New Zealand. I loved going to my local scrapbook shop for classes and shopping. I miss the friendly and fun atmosphere of crafting with like-minded people.

I have been scrapbooking since 2007 after a holiday to Walt Disney World. I quickly got addicted to this wonderful paper craft and have filled nine scrapbook albums! Yes, nine! My favourite tool is my finger craft knife from Fiskars. I love how it makes cutting intricate designs easier. My favourite embellishment would have to be buttons – although I tend to hoard them. I have tried all styles of scrapbooking but I still can’t decide on my favourite.
I started making cards when we were about to move to New Zealand. I was getting addicted to crafting and didn’t like the fact that I wouldn’t have my crafty things with me. Card making meant I could still get a crafty fix and it didn’t take up as much space as scrapbook layouts. Since then, I have become addicted to card making too. I have made hundreds of cards of all sizes, colours and styles. I sell my cards online at Etsy. (http://pnkgeeni.etsy.com)
I will be adding altered items and mini albums to our Craft Group eventually. They are a great way to showcase photographs from one event. I’ve made quite a few as Christmas and Birthday presents. There are so many styles and designs – keep an eye on the blog to see when we are doing classes.
My plan is to get the whole world addicted to paper crafting (I have ‘recruited’ 3 people so far). And I would LOVE to own my own craft store, purely so that I have unlimited supplies.
Janet:
My first paper craft adventure was an altered Christmas Tree album. I just wanted something festive for my work desk in New Zealand. After this, I started making cards and mini albums.
My daughter calls me a perfectionist as I prefer things to be level and straight! I've made one double page layout - but leave these to Jeni, as she had documented all our lives for the past three years. I tend to stick with making mini albums and cards.
I fell in love with heat embossing and using opal powders but need to practice these techniques before I can teach them. (So watch out for classes later in the year).
